- Speed Limit & Bikes
Speed limit 5 M.P.H. We realize that this is low, but children are at play everywhere and we can’t replace them! Street legal registered motor bikes are allowed. Please, no revving or joy riding in campground.
- Check-In / Check-Out Times
RV & Tent Sites: Check-in after 1:00PM, check-out by 11:00AM.
All Cabins: Check-in 3:00PM, check-out 11:00AM.
- Campsite Occupancy
Rates are based on 2 Adults and up to 3 children under the age of 18. Campsite: Max occupancy of 7 people per site of which 4 may be adults. (Additional charges will apply over 2 adults.) Cabins: Max of 5 people per cabin, 2 adults 3 children. One camping unit per site. Tents are not permitted on a campsite with an RV unit or on a Cabin rental site. Site occupancy may be further limited during busy periods. 2 vehicles per site allowed.
Tents are allowed on sites rented for the purpose of tenting only. Tents are not allowed on a site with a camping unit as we do not allow separate tents on those sites. Tents are not allowed on the Cabin rental sites.
- Firewood Policy
WE DO NOT ALLOW ANY OUTSIDE FIREWOOD INTO THE CAMPGROUND. To protect our forest and your vacation spot, we do not permit firewood, of any kind, from anywhere to be brought into the campground by any camper or guest. We define firewood as any type of wood that can be burned in a campfire. You will be required to bag and leave all firewood in our holding area until your departure or we will not check you in. Any person in violation of firewood rules will be asked to leave. New Hampshire has quarantined the movement of firewood from out of state and in state. The transportation of firewood from the surrounding Belknap, Hillsborough, Merrimack, and Rockingham counties is not allowed. The Forest Bureau has asked campgrounds to request us to not allow any transporting of firewood to campgrounds by a guest.
- Visitors and Guests
Visitors/Guests are welcome; however, visitor fees apply to all who enter the campground. They must register upon arrival during store hours, pay appropriate guest fees, and acquire a pass prior to proceeding into the campground. VISITORS/GUESTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING PETS! Visitors/Guests may be required to park in lot and walk to your site. We may limit the number of guests a camper may have at all times, especially during holidays and busy times to prevent overcrowding. Fees for Peak season and Holidays: Adult visitor: $15.00, Seniors 62+: $10.00, Children 10-17: $10.00. Off Season: Adult visitor: $10.00, Seniors 62+: $10.00.
- KOA Cancellation Policy
Need to cancel? Please call the campground before the deadlines listed here to receive your deposit refund, minus a $10.00 cancellation fee. E-mail notifications of cancellations are not acceptable. There is no refund for Holiday and Special Event stays. Deluxe Cabins: Sorry there are no refunds given for cancellations. RV & Tent Sites: 48 hours cancellation notice is required. Notify your KOA by 4:00PM two days before your scheduled arrival. Cancellations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of all deposits. Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.
- KOA Reservation Policy
To guarantee your campsite or cabin, a deposit equal to at least your first night will be charged to your credit card at the time of making your reservation. Full payment is required for Holiday and Special Events stays. Some sites have a minimum of a week stay. Off season reservations may be made up to a year in advance. A minimum of two nights or three nights on Holidays. Reservations for 7 days may be made up to a year in advance for peak season. Specific sites are not guaranteed for less than a week’s stay.
We welcome our Guests who travel with their pets. However, to insure all of our guests have a safe and enjoyable time, please read the following: Aggressive pets of any breed are not welcome at any KOA. If your dog shows behavior that is protective and unfriendly to strangers, please be safe and leave it at home with a friend. A limit of 2 well behaved pets on a leash per campsite. Please bring copy of Rabies Certificate upon check in. We encourage campers in tents to leave pets home with a friend. No pets on a cabin site or in cabins. No visitors are allowed to bring pets. Pets are not allowed to be left alone at the campsite or in a camper at the campground. Allowing your pet to bark uncontrollably day or night will not be permitted and you will be asked to leave. We are unable to accept the following breeds or mix of them: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, Malamute, Great Dane, Chow, or Akita. Pets must be on a 6' leash and picked up after. No pets allowed in buildings or pool area.
- Pool Info
NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. Please read all signs and rules posted. No children under 14 allowed in the pool area without an adult. No pets, smoking or glass items allowed in pool area. No food or drinks are allowed within 4 feet of water’s edge. Running, jumping, diving and horseplay are prohibited. Floats, tubes or toys are not allowed in pool. Small child warning: Water Slide has a minimum height requirement of 44". Sorry, slide attendant will turn small children away for their safety.
- Pool is open from Memorial Day through weekend after Labor Day.
- Pool hours are from 10:00AM until dusk.
- Spray park hours are from 10:00AM until dusk.
- Slide hours are from 10:00AM until 5:00PM.
- Splash park and slide open Memorial Day Weekend and Saturdays only until end of June.
- Splash park and slide open daily from end of June until week before Labor Day.
- Splash park and slide open Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend and Saturday of the following weekend.
- Pool heated to 75 degrees for the off season weekends.
- Security Gates
After hours access is available only with an access card. Cards are available with a $10.00 cash only deposit. Cash refunded upon return of card.
- Quiet Hours & Campfires
Quiet hours are from 11:00PM to 8:00AM. During this time, please no TV's, radios, or bright lights. Please keep all other noise to a courteous level and fires low as not to disturb others. We ask that while having fun during the day that we don’t infringe on other campers’ relaxation. Children age 17 and under must be on a site by 10:30PM unless accompanied by a responsible adult. Please do not leave fires unattended. All fires must be extinguished upon leaving.
- Be A Courteous Camper!
Clotheslines are not permitted without clothes on them. Please do not cut through other campsites; stay on the roads. No firearms or fireworks. No excessive drinking or partying allowed. Use of illegal drugs and disorderly conduct will not be tolerated! Please do not cut any branches or deface any natural surroundings, trees or vegetation.
- Recycle / Trash
We ask that our guests help in our recycling efforts. There are recycle bins and a recycling area next to dumpsters. Please place all trash in dumpsters or in proper trash receptacles.
- Problems or Issues
We welcome your comments. Please report any problems or issues to the office. We can address them if we are informed of them during your stay. We hope you have an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
- General Store
While checking in at the registration center, you will be surprised by all we have to fill those left-behind items or for you to just browse during your stay. Our well-stocked store has much-needed items like new KOA apparel, souvenirs, health and beauty aids, RV supplies, fishing needs, or those forgotten grocery items, cold beverages, ice cream, snacks and more. We also deliver firewood in larger quantities to the site for the longer stay and have those bundles for a small relaxing fire. You can also buy a KOA gift card for that special someone to use during their stay.
Strafford / Lake Winnipesaukee South KOA is not liable for acts of theft, vandalism or damage caused by natural elements or others. You are responsible to carry insurance coverage for your camper, contents and belongings.
